Opening in September of 2008, this Discipleship Training School is geared for those who have a passion to grow deeper in God. We’re looking for young people who want to follow the upward call of Jesus and realize the truth of Jesus’ words, “whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Matt 10:39). This discipleship program is a pioneer division of the Master’s Commission. The Master’s Commission is a discipleship program that has existed for 20 years. Master’s Commission has a reputation for being one of the leading Christian discipleship programs in the nation. We are honored to be starting one of their pioneer divisions this year in Cuchara, Colorado. This will be one of the few Master Commission’s programs in Colorado. The setting of the Rocky Mountains will play a major role in creating an environment where young people can come and be discipled through the Master’s Commission program in a place that naturally draws you closer to God. Southern Colorado offers a unique place to go through a discipleship program under the Master’s Commission vision.

Our heart and passion is to develop the Vertical Ascent discipleship program into an established Master’s Commission program. Through this discipleship training school, students will have the opportunity to grow closer to God through hands-on ministry experiences combined with immersion in the Word, prayer, and class room studies. Students can look forward to the mentorship of the experienced leadership team that God has brought together in southern Colorado. These leaders desire to pour their lives into students to see them equipped and released to transform their communities through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because this is the first year of the discipleship program, the discipleship students will also have an opportunity to lay the foundation of the Master’s Commission program here in Colorado for years to come. The Vertical Ascent discipleship program that is a pioneer division in the Master’s Commission organization is located in a small mountain town of Cuchara, Colorado. The discipleship program will be designed around one thing: for God to have all of us. “The higher you climb the more you die” is the motto of this discipleship program. The higher you go in God, the more of yourself you will die to. That means more of God and less of us in the Master’s Commission program in southern Colorado. Is God calling YOU to join us?
